NOSTRIL REDUCTION

Alar Base Reduction (Nostril Reduction)

Wide nostrils, and a widened opening at the nostrils can be quite bothersome to many patients. Alar base reduction is a surgical procedure that is used to reduce the width of the nostrils, and reduce the size or flaring when they are not proportionate to the individual’s face. This procedure creates a more balanced nasal profile, and can often be used in conjunction with a non-surgical rhinoplasty in order to create an amazing result for patients.

Alar base reduction is performed surgically as a day procedure, under local anaesthesia. During this surgery, Dr. Soni will remove a small amount of extra skin that is present at the lower portion of the nostrils. The scars are small, and are placed within the nose so they are not obvious once you are healed.

Dr. Soni is very well versed with nasal anatomy, and this surgery will result in a permanent reduction in the nostril width, and a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing nasal profile. You will obtain world-class care at The Soni Clinic, as we have the highest standards of patient care and surgical techniques.
