What happens if The Soni Clinic cancels my procedure?

The Soni Clinic may need to cancel your surgery/procedure due to clinical reasons. Where this is necessary it will be a decision of your provider, or part of the clinical team associated with your care, on grounds of your clinical safety or in the interest of your health and wellbeing. In such instances, The Soni Clinic will refund any deposit paid, minus any third-party costs charged to The Soni Clinic.
Sometimes it may be necessary to cancel your procedure for non-clinical reasons. We will provide you with a reason why the cancellation is necessary. Where this is the case we will give you as much notice as possible. We will rearrange your procedure as soon as possible and agree on a date with you. Where we rearrange your consultation, procedure or surgery within a reasonable period The Soni Clinic will not refund any sums paid by you, and any deposit paid shall be applied against the procedure in the normal way. The Soni Clinic will not be liable for loss or consequential loss as a result of unavoidable cancellations, including but not limited to travel expenses.

What happens if I suffer complications?

Before or after your procedure, you will be given the best contact details for The Soni Clinic.
While the providers and The Soni Clinic staff do their best to ensure a satisfactory outcome, no clinical procedure is entirely risk-free and the results of any procedure/surgery cannot be guaranteed with any certainty. There are no guarantees or representations stated or implied as to the results of the procedure(s), and there is no such concept as perfection, which is subjective.
It is up to the discretion of The Soni Clinic in determining whether there are any additional charges that will incur in order to treat a complication. This will be determined on a case-to-case basis. Where we are unable to treat your clinical complications, you agree that appropriate follow up care may be provided by your GP, the NHS or a provider under your own private health insurance.
You may feel an adjustment to the procedure is necessary at a later date to achieve an optimum result. You will be responsible for any fees due should you require or wish for an adjustment and it being the case of no fault attaching to the procedure so far as the provider is concerned and the provider deems the outcome to fall within the acceptable normal limits of the procedure (please see our Consent Form regarding subjectivity of the outcome). An adjustment procedure will only take place where you and the provider are in agreement. Any decision about revision procedures will only be made after a suitable period of time has elapsed, and at the provider’s discretion.
Where a revision procedure is required/agreed, any variance to the procedure actually required will be charged. The Soni Clinic do not cover loss of earnings or any other out-of-pocket expenses of you or any chaperone.
If we agree on a revision procedure, in line with the aforementioned terms, and you postpone and rebook your procedure then you may have to pay fees depending upon the amount of notice you give. Any fees in this scenario will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Where an agreement cannot be reached, the view of an independent provider may be sought at your provider’s discretion. At all consultations to discuss adjustment procedures, which take place between your provider and you, a chaperone/note taker will be present.
If you have revision surgery with another provider, outside of The Soni Clinic, without our prior consent and agreement, this will invalidate these terms and conditions and no further liability, indemnification or costs shall be assumed by The Soni Clinic Limited.

Payment

The payment for a procedure must be paid in full prior to or immediately after the procedure being performed, unless The Soni Clinic determines otherwise. No procedure or surgery undertaken by The Soni Clinic shall be granted on credit or invoicing terms. The payment can only be made by debit/credit card, and no cash will be accepted to pay for procedures/treatments.

Other terms and conditions

Your provider will be responsible for the care they provide you. We always endeavor to ensure our third party suppliers hold relevant indemnity cover. You will be under the care of the provider, who may also involve other third party providers in your care, if appropriate. Nursing and other medical staff will provide your care under the provider’s instructions.
You agree to follow the advice provided by all the medical professionals and representatives from The Soni Clinic involved in your care. If you fail to attend two consecutive post-procedural appointments, The Soni Clinic will no longer be obliged to offer further appointments. It may sometimes be necessary to arrange a post-procedural consultation at an alternative clinic within a reasonable traveling distance.

The Soni Clinic will not cover the cost of any additional travel expenditure.
Occasionally you may be recommended or instructed to seek guidance/treatment from your GP , other NHS services or a provider under your own private health insurance. This may be before your procedure or after it. Advice may include waiting appropriate timescales post-procedurally to allow for wounds, scarring and any inflammation to settle down. Failure to follow the advice given shall be at your own risk and no liability shall be accepted or indemnification whatsoever shall be due from The Soni Clinic Limited.
